Abstract

Cognitive Potential of Music. Theoretical Study It is assumed for centuries that the music has a cognitive potential. Justification of such a belief is to finding answers for questions during the analysis of the literature: how we perceive music; how we explore musical language; what cognitive benefits flowing from musical training. The results of the analysis of the literature, among others in the field of psychology of music, music pedagogy confirm that diverse and frequent contact with the music develops the cognitive functions of the mind — for this reason it should be appreciated by those who want to multidirectional development of the child.
