Journal Title: Medicine and Philosophy - Year 2024, Vol 45, Issue 24
Abstract
This paper outlines the origins, concepts, and theoretical basis of interpersonal and social rhythm therapy (IPSRT), analyzes its current research status both domestically and internationally, and focuses on its implementation methods and therapeutic effects in adolescents with bipolar disorder. IPSRT has been shown to stabilize circadian rhythms in high-risk adolescents, reduce depressive and manic symptoms, lower suicide rates, and enhance treatment satisfaction among this population. Based on these findings, the paper discusses the developmental trends of IPSRT in the field of adolescent bipolar disorder in China, aiming to provide new perspectives and methods for non-pharmacological treatment in this demographic.
