Abstract
Drawing Counterparts of Solid Figures Modelled by Children at Pre-School Age Presence of solid figures in the world of objects implies questions regarding children’s perception of their shapes and in particular presenting third dimension. Various forms of creative activity, including drawing and modelling, allowed to find an answer to problems specified in the conducted research. Basic questions referred to development of skills within the scope of drawing and modelling of solid figures observed directly by children, which were: cube and cylinder. It was important to determine some models of created objects that were in the field of vision as well as to define common features of drawn and modelled solid figures. Collected material, which was constituted by graphic records and solid figures modelled by children at pre-school age along with their analysis, allowed to describe development of ability to use flat and spatial technique of creating these objects that were directly observed by children.
