The Modern Methodological Approaches to the Research of the History of Native Philosophical Beliefs in the Baroque Time.

Abstract

The research of the history of Ukrainian philosophical tradition has been essential during last decades. The native study has developed the number of methodological approaches that are being successfully used in the research of history of Ukrainian philosophy. Although, there is a number of topical issues in the Ukrainian historical-philosophical study that require their own special approach and peculiar methodological foundation in accordance. In particular, one of the ''problematic'' issues is a problem of including the consequential philosophical sources (preaching, moral theological tractates, poems etc.) to the historical-philosophical discussion. We have to study philosophical beliefs of pre-modern and early modern periods researching these sources. The goal of our research is a survey of modern methodological approaches to the study of the history of native philosophical beliefs. To reach this goal we will try to implement a number of tasks: to analyze the methodological complications, that occur during study of the history of native philosophical beliefs; main approaches to the study of the history of Ukrainian philosophical beliefs; to mark out the most advanced and relevant approach considering the possibility of using it during the study of philosophical beliefs of Ukrainian baroque. Methods of comparative analysis, description and hermeneutical method were used for contemplation of different methodological approaches and positions of researches. The article covers modern methodological approaches to the study of the history of native philosophical beliefs: a descriptive model; historical-philosophical Ukrainian Studies; a topical personal concept of history of philosophy in Ukraine; ''historiography of history of philosophy''; ''philosophy of history of Ukrainian philosophy''; method of rational reconstruction. A special attention is devoted to culturological and axiological approaches and to the history of philosophical concepts. Among main problematic methodological issues that appear during research of Ukrainian philosophical beliefs there are: consideration of peculiarities of the development of native philosophical tradition; big amount of consequential philosophical sources, that are being used to study native philosophical beliefs; particular stereotypes about native philosophical culture, that are now percepted by many researches as a self-evident truth. According to the author, one of the most promising approaches is a culturological one that considers history of native philosophical beliefs as a part of spiritual culture. This approach uses a concept of philosophical culture that includes different methods of functioning of philosophical knowledge and forms of philosophizing process. Such point of view can be productive during studies of Ukrainian philosophical tradition of pre-modern and early modern epochs, because they don’t have enough of specific philosophical sources. Therefore, the issue researched in the article is quite promising and requires further consideration.
