The Mythological Code Epic Character Names in Azerbaijani Dastans

Abstract
This article analyzes the characteristics of the content of the epic character names of Azerbaijani folk tales. As is known, the names of the characters of the texts are written in the epic mythological structure. Research has shown that the names of the characters created by the laws and principles of mythological thinking. On the basis of folklore, ethnographic and linguistic sources disclosed mythological-magical essence of names and nicknames of Azerbaijani folk tales. The Azerbaijani dastans after the name of the main place is occupied by a nickname. For example, in the epos "Gachag Nabis" all members of the squad are presented nicknames: Gachag Nabi Gara Telly, Tunxi Veli, Lele Cavour, Ganly Goja, Vasar Igid. "In contrast to the primary, secondary real names, these names are not considered part of the man himself, so that they can disclose without fear, without risking to jeopardize the safety of a person called'' [6: 265]. Many of the units, which were used at one time as a function of the title, and gradually reveal themselves as a nickname as a person-his own name, as a component of the actual name of the complex. When something is, in fact, the title of the unit over time, speak to personally own name only in the function of nicknames. The Azerbaijani epic ethnic memory code-names spawned myths. These names differ in quite high semiotics as the mythological thinking dominating in an epic code recognizes that everything is significant.
