TRANSFORMATION OF EMOTIONALITY AND EMOTIVITY EXPRESSION IN HORROR GENRE: LINGVOSEMIOTIC ASPECT

Abstract

In the context of new multimodal perspective, that is currently being explored by leading scholars in the field of linguistics, there is a statement that all types of information transmission are inalienable for the communication. Any kind of paralinguistic means is realized through information channels. The paper is devoted to the study of the realization of horror elements in American novels and its screened versions. The aim of the comparative analysis is to identify intersemiotic translation of verbal signs in the multimodal discourse.
