TUATION OF THE INMATES OF THE JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER IN WITKÓW PLACED RELEASED ON PAROLE AND BY VIRTUE OF LAW

Abstract

The study on the former inmates of the Juvenile Detention Center in Witków presen-ted in the article is a continuation of the previous studies (conducted and published in 1996, 2003 and 2009). The studies were carried out on a survey basis. The survey questions did not change fundamentally so that they could be compared to the findings of the pre-vious studies. Special attention was paid to the issues concerning social re-adaptation of the former inmates, that is the level of reoffending, entering the labor market, independen-ce in life, and the quality of institutional support in the process of becoming independent. This paper discusses the findings of the current study and is a summary of the previous studies.
