USE OF S. RUSOVA’S DIDACTIC HERITAGE IN PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE EDUCATORS

Abstract
The author of the article singles out an important component of the future preschool educators’ training, their studying of Sofija Rusowa’s creative heritage in the context of the national education modernization, to be more precise. The essence and structure of the notion «readiness for a creative use of Sofija Rusowa’s didactic heritage in practice of a modern pre-school institution» have been defined. The results of the analysis of Preschool Pedagogics and Children’s Psychology curricula alongside with professional practices have been summarized. The lack of knowledge received by students in the process of studying the above mentioned disciplines towards the use of Sofija Rusowa’s linguistic and didactic heritage in modern pre-school practice has been admitted. Attention is drawn to students’ careful study of the fundamental theoretical and methodological problems of language education of preschool children, elaborated by S. Rusowa, who was the author of concepts of the national education system, national schools and national pre-school education: the ratio of biological and social matters in child’s language development; goals, contents, objectives, means, forms, methods and ways of teaching children native language in the Ukrainian kindergartens; place of the Ukrainian folklore, folk traditions, holidays, best artistic works of the Ukrainian writers in children’s speech development. An important place in students’ training is assigned to the course the purpose of which is to generalize students' knowledge about Sofija Rusowa’s linguistic and didactic heritage, ways of its use in modern preschool institutions as well as the development of students' interest to methodological legacy of the past. The use of modern information technologies and teaching methods by students, a combination of theoretical and practical material, creation of conditions for students’s active activity in classroom and individual work have been provided in the program of the special course. A special course curriculum has been elaborated taking into account the profession-oriented principles of training, those ones of scientific character, systematic character, consistency and availability in accordance with the requirements of higher pedagogical education. The results of the investigation confirmed the positive dynamics of indicators showing the future preschool educators’ readiness to use Sofija Rusowa’s didactic heritage in professional activities. Pedagogical conditions enabling the actualization and realization of Sofija Rusowa’s didactic heritage while training future preschool educators have been substantiated; they are as follows: in-depth study of the scientist’s methodical heritage concerning the issues on teaching preschool children their native language, creative use of principles, methods and forms for teaching a native language which was proposed by S. Rusowa, elaboration of the programs and methodological technologies facilitating the work with the scientist’s linguistic and didactic legacy.
